Dear friends,

Hello again! We switched last Fridays again this month to bring you Meatball Magic's second annual post-Thanksgiving dance-a-thon, so congratulations! You're about to get your awesome on!

Some of you are back in town for turkey, and we haven't seen you since you moved away. Welcome home! Here's the plan: after the tryptophan takes hold on Thursday, get yourselves to bed, get a good night's rest, then come work off the pie the following night (that's Friday) with five hours chock-full of crazy. We're starting off at 9pm sharp with our good friends Kara and Aesop cranking out a tune or two to whet your appetites. By midnight we'll have squeezed in the Needy Eevy girls, the Batteries with their new drummer James Brittain-Gore, a couple of the dancingest guest DJs around, and your humble hosts will be properly lubricated and ready to take over the DJ booth for our own patended brand of all-night ass shaking. Forgot what kind that is? Check out our blog for a refresher course.

The Red Lantern is on the southeast corner of Belmont and Maple, just in case you've forgotten us in your absence. If you've never been, just look for the big red lantern hanging up above the big red awning over the big red front door. Or tag along with some regulars. They'll show you the way. There's no cover, as usual, but bring a few bucks for the cowboy-sized drinks and cheap-ass beer you'll be drinking all night. Not drinking? Then strap on your dancing shoes and save the last one for us. Don't dance? That's ok too. You can watch, or bring quarters for Pac-Man and pool. Either way, you'll be having a pretty awesome time.
