Ever since the original Century back in 2000, electronic music enthusiasts from around the Midwest have gathered in Lexington for the annual anniversary event. These events have been legendary to pack clubs, literally move floors out of place and showcase top notch underground talent from around the world. This year we bring a house music legend to Lexington. Halo aka Brian Varga, formerly of the H-Foundation, will bring his "City Deep" style to the bluegrass just as he regularly does on XM Radio. Playing Deep Soulful House and melodic vibes that capture your spirit in minutes is the essence that is otherwise known as house music provided by an artist whose distinctive style is far from ordinary. This master of the underground is Brian Varga or Halo as he is known on the circuit. A foray into the world of Halo corrupts not only the body, but also the psyche as movement is the currency of spending an evening with this DJ practitioner. For almost two decades, Halo has followed his passion as a DJ and Producer while journeying to exotic locales across the globe. Born in Chicago in 1974, Halos inspiration was always close to home as he was introduced to house music in the city most notorious for constructing the genre. He attended underground loft parties and witnessed such visionaries as Gene Hunt, Larry Heard, DJ Frique, Glenn Underground, Frankie Knuckles, Boo Williams and countless DJs who enticed his developing passion for the craft. Because of this inspiration Halo took to the decks at such an early age where he was quick to create alliances with hometown DJs and rapidly began releasing solo and joint projects on Moody Recordings. Halo relocated to San Diego where he had the opportunity to tap into the unchartered territory of Southern California. He brought to the masses a fresh sound. Along with a new beginning in a different city. For Five years Halo has played Londons Fabric as a bi-monthly resident, and hes no stranger to gracing stages with the most infamous faces in electronic culture. Now, with a successful solo production career, a new album and a national tour in the making, Halos house has grown in size and sound. Motivated by the success stories behind Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler and DJ Deep, Halo is focused on continuous producing and building powerful relationships for upcoming projects. Behind the decks he has played alongside the paragons of the underground. With his heart proving he has more than an infatuation for the craft he has garnered the reputation as one of the most respected DJs in the industry today. His productions, which reside in the record boxes of the worlds top tastemakers, are a valued commodity. His up coming projects due out His future projects include collaborations with Franck Roger,Marlon D., Alix Alvarez, Mr. V and studio work for his City Deep Music label.
