Music was always Breann’s first love; it has always been very therapeutic for her. She has a Scottish ancestry and her parents encouraged her to do highland dancing. Her family and Breann would practice weekly with others who shared a Scottish heritage. Many times they performed at local fairs.
Growing up in New Orleans, with its rich musical culture, has giving her the ear and passion for music. She remembers growing up listening to talented singers such as, Gloria Estefan, Cyndi Lauper, King Floyd, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. She was inspired by the many creative music videos’ she watched growing up on MTV. As young as she can remember she can recall trying to write her own songs and movies. Breann would get her siblings and neighborhood friends to participate in dance routines that she would either have her dad or mom record, if she hadn’t already snuck out the video camera on her own to record. She had a huge imagination all she ever wanted to do was act and sing. It was a way for her to escape. ....
She loved all aspects of entertainment: music, movies, TV, magazines, etc.
Lately, she has been inspired by Gavin DeGraw, Jason Mraz, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, Colbie Caillat. She also admires Britney Spears, her talent, courage, and perserverence it drives Breann because after hitting rock bottom Britney climbed back on top. She is also driven by Beyonce’s talent, voice, and business vision.
Breann has always felt that music allows the entire human race to connect on so many different levels
“It allows you to touch the hearts of so many. Michael Jackson is the best example; he inspired and touched the hearts of millions. Because of his passion for entertainment and music, he changed the pop culture and inspired so many people worldwide to try and change the world to better."
