Once Upon a Midnight Dreary...
Little boys and little girls stepped onto pages seeped with shadowy ink and maddening dreams, passed through contorted reflections of reflecting brass, gripped breathlessly to groundshards or towering flora surpassing clouds, titans, and perhaps even gods. Once upon a time, little boys and little girls were haunted, desired, fooled, fought, danced, seduced, puzzled, poisoned, hunted, lost, and eaten in parables far different than the happy tales with happy endings for happy children today...
With that essence in mind, you are cordially invited to enter our enchanted realm of whispered secrets sheltered in the depths of blithe poetry and prose, and to become enraptured with the darkly dreaming, decadent evening of the "
GRIMM FAIRYTALE BALL"~ Guests are encouraged to dress themselves in a manner that evokes the true spirit of ancient story, with particular incline towards the dark fantasy realm of the supernatural and preternatural creatures of mischief and mirth, and step inside a fairy ring of
Darkwave, Trip Hop, Dark Indie, Dark 80's, Tribal, World Fusion, NeoClassical, Ethereal, Downtempo, Synthpop and Avant Garde with
DJ Xian (Malediction Society, Ruin Hollywood, Wumpskate) and
DJ Pumpkin (Kabinet Theatre, Cirque Bezerk, The Wandering Marionettes) in the
Main Hall~

Absinthe Bar, hosted by Erika of Glamour Lush Absinth and Millenary Couture, and the return of our world of
Fetish & Erotica with the sinfully wicked Marriah (Club Discipline). And as ever, the Monte Cristo offers an expansive rooftop smoking and drinking patio of vice with newly built seating, a vast wooden dancefloor set beneath crimson, crystal chandeliers in the Main Hall, plush table seating, exquisite sound and lighting, upgraded A/C, coatcheck, and of course valet for your convenience. Complimentary candid club photography will be provided for this evening by Violet Photography and portraits will be taken by Jamais Vu Photography (please, no outside cameras). Prepare for a late night, because we're open til 3AM!!
